FMS FCX18 / FCX24 Metal Gear Steering Servo Upgrade

Metal-gear steering servo upgrade for the FMS FCX18 and FCX24, supplied with a modified proprietary FMS connector for the stock ESC/receiver combo. The output fits the stock servo saver, making this supplied version a direct-fit steering replacement.

Modified connector for the stock FMS combo

The supplied servo has already been modified with the FMS proprietary connector. It connects to the stock FCX18 / FCX24 ESC/receiver combo without requiring the customer to change the servo connector, and its output fits the stock servo saver.

This is the FCX18 / FCX24 version. For an FCX24M, choose the separate FCX24M upgrade servo.

Construction and dimensions

The servo uses a compact black housing, a metal gear train and a metal output spline. Dimensions below are taken from the supplied drawing, in millimetres.

Installation

Fit the servo in the original mounting position, connect it to the stock FMS ESC/receiver combo and transfer the stock servo saver. Centre the servo before fitting the saver and check that the steering linkage moves freely throughout its travel.
